Direct from L.A. Alex Larson - Unique L.A. Flava Workshops

When we found out that Mr. Alex Larson was in Australia teaching workshops we could not let the man leave the country without first coming to PERTH!!.

Alex has danced for Omarion, Beyonce, Ciara, Ne-Yo and so much more, and he is here to teach Perth dancers that unique L.A. Flava dance style used by all the big name artists today.

Workshops are for ONE DAY ONLY!.

Alex will be teaching an Elementary/Intermediate level workshop, followed by a Masterclass. 

The Masterclass will be followed by an optional Mock Audition for those dancers seeking personal feedback on their audition technique, and who want personal tips on HOW TO GET NOTICED!!

June is Go Red for Women month. A campaign initiated by the heart foundation to raise awareness of heart disease and the importance of good heart health for women. 

Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in Australian women (more so than breast or skin cancer) killing 31 Australian women every day?

Almost all of us have been affected by the consequences of heart disease, in some way.   We here at R.E.D have also been personally affected by the tragic consequences that can be inflicted by heart disease, and as such are big supporters of the heart foundation and level of research & development they put into combating heart disease, together with what they do to raise awareness of one of Australia’s biggest killers. 

R.E.D goes Red for Women, is a fundraising Sexy Stiletto’s dance workshop run by yours truly….Ashanti.  This is a fun, let your hair out, and get a little sexy dance workshop. Come dressed in your hottest sexiest red clothes, put on your stilettos (red ones if you have them!) and join us in a 1 hour dance jam where you can learn how to tip, switch and pop like Beyonce, The Pussy Cat Dolls, and Kylie. 

This is going to be one hour of fun, and sexiness! Learn a step or two, but more importantly let your hair out and get in that much needed cardio workout needed for good heart health.

"TWEETIE"

Tweetie is a dancer like no other. Known for her phenomenal street dancing skills in hip hop, she is also a versatile dancer having trained in modern ballet and jazz.  TWEETIE, a resident hip hop teacher at the world renowned Alvin Ailey Dance School, also has her own MTV show “Dances from the Hood” where she teaches the hottest (and the funniest) street and club dance moves and grooves including dances like the “old man”, “the hyphee” and the “chicken noodle soup” dance amongst others. She is also most known for her appearance on the OPRAH WINFREY SHOW where she taught Oprah and her guests some of the key dances from her MTV show.  TWEETIE has also danced alongside artists such as  Shakira, Mya, Jay-Z, Nelly, Ciara, and Destiny’s Child, to name a few. She has also featured as a dancer for Nike, and Ipod and worked with choreographic legends including HI-Hat, Luther Brown, Fatima Robinson, Sho-tyme, Darren Henson, Rennie Harris, Tanisha Scott and Buddah Stretch.

So tell your friends, mums, dads, brothers, sisters, neighbours and colleagues.  Like her Dances from the hood show, TWEETIE will be teaching the Perth public how to “GROOVE YOUR MOVES” by teaching them the dances from her MTV show ‘Dances from the Hood’.   No doubt a great day out, and a great way to get EVERYONE enjoying dance!!! GROOVE YOUR MOVES will be on April 17th….stay tuned for when tickets go on sale.
