
Hailing from New York Sho-tyme is a Hip Hop Street Dancer who has no boundaries. His creativity and passion for dance has allowed him to create an entertaining vision for the world to see unlike no other. His Versatility as a choreographer along with his extensive knowledge of the history culture and evolution of hip hop and hip hop dance has enabled him to have danced and choreographed for many of the top Artists in the industry including: Aaliyah, Jay Z, Mary J Blige, P Diddy, Shakira, Busta Ryhmes, J Lo, Mya, TLC, Sugar Hill Gang & Kelly Rowland. Sho-Tyme is also the genius behind Gwen Stefani and her Harajuku girls. He has choreographed all of Gwen’s Tour’s, Stage performances, TV appearances and video clips. Sho-tyme has worked on TV Shows such as Dancing With The Stars and on movies such as You Got Served, Stomp The Yard & Dance Flick. His recent work includes choreography for ‘So you think you can dance – Canada’ season 1 &2 as well as Choreographer and Co-Star of the upcoming movie ‘Beat the world’ due out in cinemas 2010. Sho-Tyme is also touring Europe and Asia early 2010 as a judge for the biggest Hip Hop/ Popping/ locking & House Dance Competition in the world “Juste Debout”. Sho-Tyme has proven to himself, and other inspiring choreographers and dancers that what you set your mind to can be done. While continually working as a choreographer he has maintained his humbleness to never stop learning from his peers, and is always looking to teach and give back to the current and new generation of inspiring dancers.
December 2009 saw Sho-Tyme’s first Australian tour. Hosted by Carmell Entertainment (Sydney), Sho-Tyme toured the Australian East Coast teaching hip hop and house dance workshops. R.E.D. was host to Sho-Tyme’s Perth workshops, where he challenged Perth dancers not only with his versatility and creativity in his dance steps, but challenged Perth dancers to explore their own creativity, break down barriers and stereo types of dance, realise the true essence of dance, as well as the importance of understanding the history and evolution of each dance in its chosen genre. Sho-Tyme without doubt left a permanent and vital inspirational impression on the young dancers of Perth, and no doubt created a whole new legacy of motivated young dancers with a new spirit to Realise and Energise their passion for dance.
